I took a Break?

Yeah! Thats right! I took a break. AND WHAT?

Anyway guys, I’m just a little excited and a bit hyper atm. Just got Duke Nukem Forever and I have been playing it quite a bit. Recorded a bit of commentary, ready to post on youtube and what not. (

Anyway, this got me thinking… I’m thirsty.

Don’t you just hate it when sentences don’t end the way you octopus? Anyway, it really got me thinking that i should probably do another blog post as i haven’t done one in what… a month or so? SO yeah, this is just an update saying that i will probably be posting a little bit more now, so… STAY TUNED!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim rumours?

What exactly will Skyrim turn out like?

As we all know, Action RPG’s without any multiplayer functionality are a dying breed. Bethesda, of course, know this better than most of the game dev’s. After all, they are still producing successful standalone single-player RPG’s such as Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas, although recent leaks have shown that Bethesda are taking a different turn… an MMO is in development.

Bethesda surprised everyone with the announce of Skyrim at the Spike TV Video Game Awards but perhaps the greatest surprise went unrealised by most; Skyrim’s release date is set for late 2011 – in the same time frame as the alleged MMO was thought to be released.

Coincidence? Perhaps. In my opinion I personally do NOT think Skyrim should be an MMO. It would ruin game dynamics; How exactly would it work? This is a question left unanswered as of now, hopefully we will learn more in the near future.

Creepy dog, iz bein creepy.

I was searching through the internet when i came across a really creepy picture of a dog that looks… well… creepy. It amazes me how many pictures of dogs and cats and even people doing weird, funny, and interesting things and it makes me wonder… What are the chances of that happening? How often do you walk in a room to find your dog sitting in its bed with this look on its face? I’m sure if it happened you’d think it was, oh i don’t know, mentally disabled before taking a picture, adding a funny catch phrase and posting it on the interweb, wouldn’t you? Besides, if that dog came up to me i’d be too scared to take a picture of it… just look at the beady eyes. You want to see the dog? Oh fine then, here you go.

Creepy dog... being creepy.

I'm sure he's just drunk.

Anyway, i was just writing this to bring a quick update on whats been going on. I’ve finished my exams so i have more time to blog and stuff, hopefully.

Exams, exams, exams.

My response? Boring, boring, BORING.

Nah, i’m just kidding but seriously, after stressing out a day before the exams because i hadn’t studied a single thing, i can look back on it and laugh… sort of, for on Tuesday, i had my first exam which was, of couse, Computing. Well, you can probably guess how well i done in that. Considering my intellect in the computing subject i knew i wasn’t going to have a problem. Next was English. Did somone say easy? Take that easy and make it easier. +1 to me. French? Get real, like i care about that. At last, Geography…

This was a subject that, to be honest, i’m not very bright in, thus the reason of my stress the night before the exams. But as we entered the classroom and it had begun. It was just destiny, me and geography… exam papers. Opened it up… 3 questions? Are you kidding?

How is a corrie formed?
Ice collects in the hollow above the mountain
As it slides down it erodes the mountain
Abrasion deepens the hollow,
Plucking steepens it.

Now.. that was easy. Thats 1/3 questions. Well… this is easy. I guess i kind of knew that i wasn’t going to have much trouble with this but the thought of it being a large question paper with over 20 questions and 50 minutes to do made me feel kind of uneasy but it really … wasn’t. I finished pretty swiftly.

Today i just had the basic Business Management, English (again) and Physics. All pretty simple and easy. My dad and i had been studying the Physics stuff for a while though so i guess that would helped a considerable amount. Tommorow is the last day of the exams so i’m looking forward to the long weekend and hopefully will have a little more time to blog and post and review and you know whatever.

By the way, i have pre-ordered brink so be prepared for some epic gameplay and some reviews. Its released on the 13th (friday) of May. Same day as my Geography outing so its a pretty beast day.

I’d like to give some shoutouts to Alt + Enter – I suggest checking him out, he has got some nice posts, although its mostly about gaming so far :D

World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is “Cataclysmically Superior”

Haha, see what i done there with the title? Smart, eh?

Anyway, I’ve been playing quite a bit of World of Warcraft since the new expansion came out, Cataclysm, and have been enjoying it more than ever.

If you don’t know what World of Warcraft is (i highly doubt it), or cataclysm for that matter, let the copy and pasting begin…

World of Warcraft, often referred to as WoW, is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) by Blizzard Entertainment, a subsidiary of Activision Blizzard. It is the fourth released game set in the fantasy Warcraft Universe, which was first introduced by Warcraft: Orcs and Humans in 1994. World of Warcraft takes place within the Warcraft world of Azeroth, approximately four years after the events at the conclusion of Blizzard’s previous Warcraft release, Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne. Blizzard Entertainment announced World of Warcraft on September 2, 2001. The game was released on November 23, 2004, on the 10th anniversary of the Warcraft franchise.

The first expansion set of the game, The Burning Crusade, was released on January 16, 2007. The second expansion set, Wrath of the Lich King, was released on November 13, 2008. The third expansion set, Cataclysm, was released on December 7, 2010. At BlizzCon in October 2010, lead producer J. Allen Brack announced that there would be a fourth expansion set for the game, even though the developers don’t yet know what it will be about.

With more than 12 million subscribers as of October 2010, World of Warcraft is currently the world’s most-subscribed MMORPG, and holds the Guinness World Record for the most popular MMORPG by subscribers. In April 2008, World of Warcraft was estimated to hold 62 percent of the MMORPG subscription market.

Anyway, enough of Wikipedia, back to my good ol’ boring story.

Ever since playing WoW back in vanilla I’ve always found it really boring, grindy and just.. well, just not at all fun. But since the Cataclysm expansion the game has souped up a lot of problems and made the game excellently fun by adding new, interesting zones and changing some old ones to make them interesting, and adding a ton and a half of quests to go with it.

All i can say is WoW, Blizzard (no pun intended), you’ve done good on this one.

+1 to Blizzard.

Happy Easter!

Easter already? It feels that just last week it was Christmas. Its funny how time flies when we’re having fun or so they say. Heck, i believe it.

But being Easter also reminds me… i have my 3rd year exams next week. Aw damn, that sucks. I know i can pass some of them but others I’ve failed… really failed. For example, Maths. I’ve always found school so boring but yet my parents and older brother advise me to enjoy it while i can? I don’t think that work would be that bad, would it? Hm, I’m not sure.

Anyway, I digress, Happy Easter everyone. Hope you have a good one…

Portal 2 finally completed.

At last, i finally completed Portal 2 for the PC. Insanely fun game but very hard. Oh well, i should probably play Portal 1 now, eh? The turret song was hilarious and so was the song and “space” bit.
